As a certified bioenergetic therapist I believe strongly in the connection between our mind, body, and emotions and that all three need attending to in order to facilitate healing and create lasting change. I believe growth and change occur best within the safety of an authentic relationship where there is mutual trust and respect. As a bioenergetic therapist I am committed to providing high quality professional care in a safe, confidential and respectful environment where new ways of relating and being in the world can be explored and experienced leading to a person living a more authentic life. My goal is to help people feel more alive and experience more pleasure, joy and love in their lives.

People seek out therapy for a number of different reasons. Some people come because they are in emotional or physical pain. Some may have the sense that experiences from the past still effect them and influence their behavior, limiting their quality of life. Others come to address problems they are having in their relationships or to enhance the pleasures they are deriving from their relationships.

Many people seek out bioenergetic therapy because they have experienced the benefits and limitations of traditional talk therapies and feel there is still something more in themselves that needs attention. Working with the body in psychotherapy helps draw out an inner knowledge that no amount of reading or talking could ever do. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, it should be a life enhancing experience.

Some additional information about me is that I am also a certified IMAGO relationship therapist. In addition to being on the faculty of the San Diego Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis I am on the International Faculty, the Teaching Committee and Board of Trustees for the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis. I train other clinical supervisors as an approved supervisor for both CAMFT and AAMFT. I am a published author and have been a keynote speaker and presented workshops at local, national and international conferences. I am available for workshops and speaking engagements in addition to my private practice with individuals, couples and groups.

Bioenergetic Therapists have met all of the licensing requirement as Mental Health Providers in their state of licensure. In addition, they have completed a rigorous four year post-graduate course of study in Bioenergetic Analysis. They are specifically trained to work with the relationship between the mind, emotions, and the body. Additional hours of supervision qualify a graduate for certification as a Bioenergetic Therapist (CBT).

Bioenergetic Therapists have faced their own journey of self-exploration and offer support and encouragement to you as you face your own path to awareness and growth.
