My simple goal is to provide a relational environment that is safe enough and supportive enough and free enough from judgment, that you can show up, no matter how you are feeling. As we work together, your personal resources of mind and heart can be accessed, re-discovered or cultivated in ways that allow you to meet your problems head on; understand the issues in a new way; and master or make peace with any challenge on your life journey.

I have been a practicing psychotherapist since the late 1970’s. I have worked in private practice, community mental health, hospitals, a federal prison, a ‘hot line’ and non-profit settings, as therapist, supervisor, trainer and administrator. I have trained in Gestalt, Existential, Ericksonian, hypnosis, NLP, Psychosynthesis and brief solution focused therapies, in addition to the intersubjective/relational/post modern psychodynamic approach imbedded in current Bioenergetics. I have served on the board of several organizations, including the Claremont Wellness Professionals and the Southern CA Institute of Bioenergetic Analysis.

In addition to my psychological pursuits, I am a principal in InnerWorks Wellness Center in Upland, CA which offers classes in Kundalini and Hatha Yoga, meditation, and Pilates; an Ayurvedic Clinic; a Pilates Studio; Teacher Training in Kundalini Yoga and Ayurvedic Practitioner Training. InnerWorks is a satellite campus of the American University of Complementary Medicine.

I am humbled by and grateful for my chosen profession as it allows me to be with others at times of great challenge and times of great beauty.
