Early career focused on pastoral counseling, adult education. Shifted into psychotherapy in the late 1960s. Introduced to bioenergetic analysis through reading Lowen's Betrayal of the Body, Bob Hilton and Renato Monaco. Aside from two years post doctoral work for the County Mental Health Department, I have worked in the private practice of psychotherapy with a special focus on bioenergetic analysis.

I have been fortunate to teach for many years for the International Institute of Bioenergetic Analysis. I recently ended 30 years of coordinating training programs in Italy, and have also coordinated training in Switzerland and Southern California and San Diego.

Volunteer Activities have included:

Human Subjects Review Committee,
   University of California Irvine
California Psychological Association,
   Ethics Committee, 10 years.
International Institute for Bioenergetic
   Analysis:
     Ethics Committee, 12 years
     President, 1998-2001

Bioenergetic Therapists have met all of the licensing requirement as Mental Health Providers in their state of licensure. In addition, they have completed a rigorous four year post-graduate course of study in Bioenergetic Analysis. They are specifically trained to work with the relationship between the mind, emotions, and the body. Additional hours of supervision qualify a graduate for certification as a Bioenergetic Therapist (CBT).

Bioenergetic Therapists have faced their own journey of self-exploration and offer support and encouragement to you as you face your own path to awareness and growth.
